Ibrahim Magu, the acting chairman of the Economic and financial crime commission, EFCC has restated his commitment to the war against corruption and vowed to wipe out the scrounge from the country in the next twelve months.
The EFCC helmsman spoke on Thursday at the Ibadan Zonal office opening and stakeholders engagement session held at Igayaku, Ibadan.
Magu informed the gathering that despite fierce opposition from some very powerful elements in the country, the war against corruption has been largely successful.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the event, the EFCC chairman reiterated his determination to wipe out corruption from the country in the next 12 months.
Magu said, “The fight has just started and we will do it to the last. We will get them out, just give me 12 months, you will not see them again.”
The event was attended by the governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajumobi, a representative of the Ooni of Ife and other important dignitaries.
